Mineral exploration company Southern Cross Britannia said it has completed the first stage of its exploration program in northwest Argentina.
For the past year, the London-based company has explored and matured a highly prospective exploration portfolio consisting of around 50 licenses spread over five different prospect areas covering 100,000 hectares in the Salta province.
For its flagship project, Copper One, Southern Cross Britannia said the analysis of around 800 rock samples over a prominent 1.8- x 1.8-kilometer lithocap has revealed “excellent alteration mineral assemblages in distinctly defined alteration zones and an encouraging geochemical signature.”
The company is now gearing up for a bespoke ground geophysical survey to delineate five drilling targets at Copper One. Subject to the outcome of the survey, Southern Cross Britannia said it plans to commence drilling in early 2023.
Copper One is a cluster of seven highly prospective copper-gold +/- molybdenum porphyry prospects, located on the Archibarca lineament.
